Catechol-based Nanostructures in Medicine
Prof. Daniel Ruiz Molina from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain, will join the Polyphenols Applications 2023 congress and will present a talk entitled "Catechol-based Nanostructures in Medicine".
The experience and background of the team brings an important asset in the synthesis of “sticky” catechol based coatings and nanoparticles with bioadhesion properties in humid conditions. This involves: I) Synthesis of nanoparticles/nanocapsules intended for chemo-/phototherapy with encapsulated drugs and study of the controlled release, II) novel coating for biofunctionalization, colloidal stabilization in physiological media experimental conditions and III) a patch to damaged tissue that allow for the growth of healthy cells in a very effective way that will naturally induce a faster regeneration of the tissue.
