Vienna Polyphenols International Conference 2017 was a huge success and gather more than 300 attendees

Vienna Polyphenols 2017 covered as oral and poster presentations topics of interest. You can find here the concluding remarks from the chairpersons of each session.

At the end of the congress, several awards were discerned:

Scientific Contribution Award:
The scientific committee discerned the Scientific Contribution Award to Dr Maike Passon from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn, in Germany for her studies about the recent advances on the analysis of polyphenols in physiological samples.

Poster Presentation Award:
Dr Iveta Najmanova from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University, Hradec Králové, Czech Republic gave a poster presentation about the Antihypertensive Effects of quercetin metabolites. For this excellent presentation, she received the poster presentation award.

Innovation Award:
An expert panel carried out a technical assessment in order to select the best innovations related to polyphenols application fields and few companies were nominated:
- Silvateam
- The Juice+ Company
- Indena
- Evolva
- Cambridge Chocolate Technology

The scientific committee and the local organizers expressed their appreciation to all participants for their excellent contributions, which made also the 2017 edition of the International Conference on Polyphenols Application a success.
